Aviation South West Ltd for all GA movements into and out of Exeter Airport.

Parking

The airport has limited parking facilities, not just for GA, but for the airliners too, so it is fairly critical parking procedures are followed to maximise space. There are a few different areas on the airfield where you may be asked to park, here is an outline of them:

Summer grass parking

The grass parking is a limited space on the south side of the airfield, used mainly in summer and until the grass gets too wet to use, utilised by each of the flying schools. The grass is divided into 2 sections, the visitors grass parking is the EASTERN part of the grass, signed “SHORT TERM PARKING” down a corridor of cones, the western is reserved for based aircraft only.

South Apron.

This small section of what was a runway is divided up into two parts, GA and Executive. There is a white line to divide this. Space is severely limited here, so we would ask that you park as tightly as possible. It is not unusual to see 3 rows of parked aircraft, the 3rd row being down the centreline of 31/13. Please do not block any aircraft or park so that you prevent the resident aircraft reaching their tiedowns. There are rows of cones on each side of the area to indicate where visiting aircraft are to park.

Northside “Ds”

You may well have to park "Northside". There are about 8 D’s northside available for aircraft parking, although they usually have some aircraft parked on them at some point, ranging from the odd Citation or private jet to the usual GA aircraft. If you are directed to Northside and unsure of where to park call Ops on 130.175. You will also need to organise a lift around to ASW to pay your landing fees, etc. This is something we may be able to help with so please don’t hesitate to ask!
